At Building Blocks Pediatric Therapy, we provide Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) to give families a clear picture of their child’s learning and developmental profile. Our evaluations are professional and school-ready, providing actionable guidance that supports IEP planning, accommodations, and individualized strategies for success.

An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is an assessment conducted by a licensed professional at a parent’s request to provide additional insight or a second opinion beyond the school’s evaluation. Before an IEE can be scheduled, most school districts require that parents submit a formal request and receive district approval. The evaluation can then be completed and shared with the school to offer further insight that may inform special education decisions, IEP planning, or accommodations.

Our Occupational Therapy (OT) Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) assesses your child’s fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities as they relate to school performance. The evaluation provides clear, objective information that can support IEP planning, classroom accommodations, and strategies to help your child succeed academically and functionally.
Our Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) examines your child’s speech, language, and communication skills in the context of the school environment. The evaluation delivers clear, objective information that can support IEP planning, classroom supports, and individualized strategies to enhance your child’s communication and participation at school.
